As a split system, it consists of an outdoor heat pump unit paired with indoor heating components, connected by refrigerant lines for balanced airflow and consistent indoor comfort.

The system includes the J5HP5030A1000AA outdoor heat pump, rated at 2.5 tons and 14.3 SEER2, and designed for R454B refrigerant, providing efficient cooling and electric heat pump heating during mild weather. The J5MXCB004AC6HCA evaporator coil is a B-cabinet cased coil compatible with 1.5–3.0 ton systems, ensuring proper airflow and efficient heat transfer. For colder conditions, the system relies on the J801V080BM4SE gas furnace, delivering 80,000 BTUH of heating output with 80% AFUE efficiency and single-stage operation.
