As a split system, it consists of an outdoor heat pump unit paired with indoor heating components, connected by refrigerant lines to provide balanced airflow and consistent indoor comfort.

The system includes the J5HP5030A1000AA outdoor heat pump, rated at 2.5 tons with 14.3 SEER2 efficiency and engineered for R454B refrigerant, delivering reliable cooling and heat pump heating during mild outdoor conditions. The J5MXCC005AC6HCA evaporator coil is a C-cabinet cased coil compatible with 1.5–3.0 ton systems, ensuring proper airflow and efficient heat transfer. For colder climates or higher heating demand, the J801V100CM5SE gas furnace provides 100,000 BTUH of heating capacity with 80% AFUE efficiency and single-stage operation, offering strong and dependable backup heat.
